Outdoor Wood stoves too can benefit by an annual cleaning. Keep efficiency high and extend the life of your stove. 

   Pellet stoves need regular cleaning, the Tee pipe can become clogged and stop the flow of gases from leaving the home. Have the stove cleaned regularly to stop any rusting from beginning. 

    The door seal is important for a controlled burn and proper dampening of the stove. if any part of the rope is missing or has become brittle repairs or replacement is required. 

   This pipe was installed upside down and leaked creosote. The metal handle controls a damper that is not legal to install into a stove pipe today. The damper stops the heat and smoke from traveling upwards keeping some heat, but also ensures creosote builds up quickly. Consider changing out your chimney pipes if you have one of these old dampers.

    Other signs of pipes needing replacement is rusting, or discoloration. Newly installed pipes appear shiny but will become matte and non reflective over time from over heating.
